Everything about Dove House was perfect - from attentive, easy, helpful communication during the booking process to waving us goodbye as we (reluctantly ) left. The house itself is totally gorgeous, we stayed over New Year and the house was charmingly dressed with tasteful festive touches throughout. Beyond immacutely clean (and I am really REALLY fussy), incredibly comfortable furnishings, top quality linens - the list goes on and on. The kitchen has ABSOLUTELY everything you could possibly need for your stay and more, the pool is warm and inviting, the log fire roars and there was never any shortage of hot water even with all 12 of us on the go at once! The intelligent thought and attention that has gone into making Dove House a delight to stay in is truly impressive and the professionalism with which it is run is second to none. My advice - book it!

If you want to get away from it all there is no better place to stay than at Swallows Cottage. It is so peaceful, surrounded by woods and farmland for as far as the eye can see. We love Dorset and spend most holidays in this wonderful county and so we've stayed in numerous cottages over the years, never returning to the same place twice. However, this year has changed all that. We have found our little piece of heaven and will definitely return to Swallows. Spotlessly clean, with every need catered for and centrally located so everything that Dorset has to offer is within a 30 minute drive. Considering the serenity of the place you might be surprised that the county town of Dorchester with it's museums and shops is only 5 minutes away.

Another special weekend in the most beautiful house! We are a relatively big family, lots of age ranges (!) yet everyone from the babies to the Great Nan adores it here! Perfect location, stunning views, huge bedrooms all with amazing bathrooms and the biggest kitchen to feed us all in! We love it and look forward to it every year! Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Just had our 2nd weekend away in this beautiful house! Beautifully & thoughtfully decorated, lovely warm swimming pool, huge well equipped kitchen - we didn't want to leave! Highly recommend if you a looking for a stunning holiday home in a remote & idyllic location. We'll be back next year!

Just got back from an amazing week at Dove House, facilities were out of this world and the property was kitted out exceptionally with great attention to detail. Missing the swimming pool and stunning surroundings already roll on next year xx
